My Educational Philosophy
Teaching is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling careers. Children are the soul of the world, and it is important that they get the best possible experience while they are in school. There are many theories that educators claim work best, and I am open minded to new ideas. I firmly believe that constructivism, social constructivism, and inquiry are the best ways for children to learn.
Being a constructivist, I believe that children learn best when they build on their previous knowledge. By arranging cues, classroom activities, and penetrating questions, I will be able to push my students to higher levels of understanding. Inquiry-based learning is an ideal compliment to constructivism. When combining inquiry learning with constructivism ways, it engages the students while developing their own understanding of certain material.
Building a close-knit classroom community is essential for students to learn comfortably and know they will not be criticized. Having a supportive community where cultural diversity is accepted and appreciated is imperative for a successful classroom. A teacher’s job is to lead a safe, knowledge-based community. I feel that I can offer a great amount of compassion and understanding to students. I love learning, and it is crucial for students to enjoy learning. I have concern for all students of all backgrounds, and I will bring a very open-minded, creative approach to my classroom.
Learning
is a lifelong process, and I am fully willing to look at every
challenge in the
brightest light. I will forever be
dedicated to my students’ well-being and to their progress as learners. Teaching is a career that I have always
wanted to be in, and I can’t wait to bring my compassionate and
dedicated
personality into the classroom.
